When do I have to recalibrate the VR headset?

Abby Legge Updated by Abby Legge

At the start of each simulator ride, the headset must be briefly calibrated by the student (see here).

During calibration, the environment is displayed in the VR goggles for better orientation, as well as instructions on how to perform the calibration. If the display of the environment is not visible (black background) or shows strong distortions, it helps to briefly put the VR headset on and take it off again. If this does not help, you can try briefly putting them into standby mode by tapping the on/off switch and waking them up again by tapping them again.

If this does not help, you can briefly unplug the USB cable from the headset and plug it back in.

If this does not help either, you should switch the headset off and on again and restart the simulator.

If this also has no effect, please contact our support team!
