How can I share videos with my students?

Abby Legge Updated by Abby Legge

After you have finished a drive, our system automatically generates 20-second videos of all driving errors and bookmarks that you have marked via the app. Please note that it can take some time to upload the videos, depending on how many there are and bandwidth of the car.

When the videos have been processed and made available, you will receive a push notification.

Now you can share individual videos with the student in question by going to the map and:

  • Locate the 'Share' icon in the upper right corner of the video's preview image
  • Tap the 'Share' icon to share it with your student

A green share icon means that a video has been shared; a grey icon means that only you can see it. The student will receive a push notification, and have access to the shared video/s. You can also unshare a video at any time.

You can also mark a video for sharing while driving by long pressing the respective error category in the annotation screen. An animation with a green, filling bar confirms that the sharing was successful.

Sharing videos is only possible in the current version of the app. Please make sure you always keep the Yaak app up to date. We recommend that you allow automatic app updates.
