I'm stuck: All that is visible is a screen that tells me to put on the seatbelt, adjust the seat, put on the headset and look straight ahead.

The simulator should be set up indoors, and out of direct sunlight as direct sunlight can impair the function of the hand-tracking, and can also damage the screens built into the headset.
